Reflecting on the past to now.
On reflecting on the past to now, I notice that I am way more meticulous with my time management than I was freshman year. Freshman year, I would often get home and spend at least 3 hours with my friends on Facebook, and then get somewhat of a start on my homework. Now i just go home, have a quick snack, than get started immediately on my homework by 3:30pm. What i also has felt has changed in me is my ability to talk to people i haven't met before. In freshman year i lacked a great deal of social grace and when someone who would approach me that i never spoke to before, i'd often choke up and excuse myself. Now i find myself able to ask for help when needed and im finding it alot easier to talk to people now.

College major and minor
After spending 4 years in highschool i was given very little exposure of what other fields are out their other than journalism, which is the only field our school offers us to expose to since we are a journalism based school. Although many of the possible majors did seem quite foreign to me, I eventually came to choosing marketing as my major and sociology as my minor. Marketing seemed attractive to me because I enjoy the whole aspect of speaking in front of people and coming up with creative ideas to get people's attention. Although I was never fond of group work, I am confident that i will overcome this fear because this is much of what marketing entails. Sociology seems interesting to me because it deals with the study of relationships between people and I feel you would need to have an understanding of this if you want to go into marketing and advertising. Overall I am not sure if these 2 choices will stick out through the remainder of college, however I remain confident that I will be given the opportunity of exposing myself to new ideas and material throughout college. Something in High school that I did not get the opportunity to recieve.

Rejection Letter
As of recently I had recieved an email from Queens College. It stated "Unfortunately, based on your academic record, we are unable to offer you admission to the college at this time." Although some people would be angry at the world after an email like that, my outlook has remained positive. I don't exactly have a dream college, my confidence remains in Hartwick college. This is because they don't look at act or sat grades making admission seem alot more promising. For the next few weeks i plan on hearing back from the many SUNYS applied to, and hopefully they will at me for the student i am in school rather than my performance on my board exams.

Weekly update
As of recently I have sent in all 7 of my applications for college. They have now recieved both sat and act test scores. My hopes are that they will look at me as a whole and not base me off of my sat and act scores since i did not do well on either of them. I would be helpful if the colleges that looked at me based me off my GPA and college essays and not neccessarily on my standardized test scores. I have not been accepted into any colleges so far, how ever i plan on hearing back from colleges as of next month.

My school year in one word.
The word to best describe my senior year would be
Transforming
I came into my senior year of high school I thought it would be a smooth transition to college. However their were many obstacles i faced along the way that shaped the person i am now. Sending in 7 different college applications while keeping and over 85 GPA did not prove easy. Often, I had deadlines that had to be met and sometimes each college i submitted had different requirements for their application. Sending the same essay to the same college like my students think they could isn't always acceptable.
